Homemade yogurt
I'm pretty psyched.... I just found THIS BLOG POST at "Fake Plastic Fish" on how to make yogurt without a yogurt maker, and I never knew it could be so easy! I can't wait to try this!!
Be sure and check out HER LIST for cutting out the use of plastics in her life, too! This is one of my favorite blogs.

Also for yogurt making, try Rhonda at Down to Earth:

Look at her June 6 entry. She doesn't use a machine either.
cool! This blog is on my list - how did I miss that post? lol... Thanks!
Ok, I saw the quark post, but not the yogurt... how exciting is all that! i can't wait to try it all! :)
Ok, on that June 6 post, she first talks about making yogurt, then starts on the quark cheese. I'm not sure the difference in quark and yogurt but you could stop at the "I am making this into quark cheese..." part and have yogurt I imagine. Let me know how it turns out. I like yogurt. I may try this one day.
Quark is basically yogurt that the whey has been removed from, makes it thicker - sort of half way between cream cheese and sour cream...
